Hi friends, I hope you’re all doing well! Spring is definitely in the air in California! Today, 13 of my friends and I are sharing some ideas to help you style your home for Spring. If you’re coming from my friend Amie’s gorgeous home at Meme Hill Studio, I know you must be feeling super inspired!! She’s over on the East Coast, and they have been hit with a major snow storm, accompanied by severe winds and power outages. In spite of all of that, she has managed to wow us with her gorgeous designs!
Spring in my Home
I’ve made just a few easy changes to my home that I want to share with you. Last weekend I found a gem in my very own town: a wholesale flower market! It’s called United Wholesale Flowers, and it might just be my new favorite place to be! Not only do they have gorgeous fresh cut flowers and plants, but they also have a huge selection of silk flowers, vases, ribbon, etc..
I chose pale pink hydrangeas, David Austin garden roses in the “Juliet” variety, and this other wild flower called a king protea.
My girls went with me to the flower market, and they had just as much fun as I did! They both chose their own flowers too. Just so happens, they both chose pink gerber daisies. We ended up having a huge floral haul! I had fun arranging all of the flowers in white vases. All of the flowers, in all the white vases, looked so pretty together so I had fun photographing them in bunches.
I also recently made some nice changes in my dining room. I found this great new table from ZGallerie and rug from HomeGoods.
The chandelier is also a recent find from World Market, and that silver bamboo framed mirror from HomeGoods.
Here’s a little update in the sitting nook area too! I found these two big pom pom pillows at HomeGoods as well.
Heading back over to the table…as you can tell by now, I’m pretty in love with blush and pale pink! I found these beautiful pink plates made in Portugal and rose gold utensils…at HomeGoods again!
A cute little matching bowl filled with jelly beans.
Rearranged some things on the console table in the dining room to freshen up the look.
Adorable pack of painted eggs..
Not using a champagne bowl? Use it to store a decorative throw! The kids like to grab a throw while we’re sitting at the table doing their homework.
This week I shared a little tip with you on Instagram! Do you see this white faux fur rug in my living room? Well, I’ve had it for a few years now, and we’ve done a pretty good job of not eating over it or wearing shoes on it, but it had gotten a little dirty. So, I decided to give it a wash in my (front loading) washing machine!! I added some soap, a little bleach and washed it in warm water. Then, I threw it in the dryer too, and it came out so beautifully!! It’s fresh, bright, fluffy and feels brand new again! Just wanted to share, in case you’re considering it. I think it shrunk a tiny bit, so as an alternative, you may want to air dry yours instead. I don’t mind that it shrunk a little, and I love how fluffy it became with the heated dry. Everything you see in this pic (above) is from HomeGoods, except the sofa and mirror.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by, and I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what my home looks like for Spring. Now that you’ve seen my place, I’d like to send you over to check out Dwellings by Devore. Then, head on over to take the rest of the tour and see all of the other homes for tons of continued inspiration! Here are all the participants!
