Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of decorating a beautiful, remodeled Craftsman home. You can see the tour here. But this month, I headed back over to the California Craftsman to do a little Christmas decorating. My client purchased her live tree and decorated it, but she wanted help with a few rooms in the house. Of course I accepted the request! I love holiday transformations! It gives me a chance to decorate a space in a different way than my own. You can see my Christmas home here.
I completed the job in two days. The first day was a trip to HomeGoods to gather all of the decor pieces I needed. I was able to find almost everything I needed there! I also picked up some fresh, live garlands and wreaths from Trader Joe’s.
We strung a few live cedar garlands across the front of the porch. I tied a heavy ribbon around the ends of the garland, then tied a bow around the fence. I also added a couple of wood star ornaments in the middle.
Keeping things simple, I just added a boxwood wreath to the door. Tip: Buy a wreath hook that has a padded back, so the door doesn’t get scratched. I also added a bit of sticky back, felt padding to the back of the wreath, so the door doesn’t get scratched.
The Living Room
We decorated the console table in the living room with all of these goodies from HomeGoods.
I love this fun little, vintage inspired sign: Christmas is Awesome!
Only the best candles, from my friend Rachel at Agapé candles.
A few cozy new pillows on the couch, to add some holiday color!
I couldn’t resist this furry little tree, and that wooden angel in the background.
I added a faux garland to the mantel, added a few cute trees, and these beautiful cranberry glass ornaments.
Just a little bit of Christmas Whimsy in the guest bathroom. Trees and towels from HomeGoods.
I used ribbon to hang little fresh wreaths in these three windows in the kitchen/dining area.
The Kids’ Office
Just a few little pieces to dress up the top of their lockers. All from HomeGoods.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I gave m client’s home a little Christmas cheer!
